Itinerary for 5 Days Serengeti and Wildebeest Migration Safari
Your safari starts at 8AM. We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. Then, we'll drive about 240 kilometers to Serengeti National Park, which takes around 6 hours. Serengeti means endless plains. The park is huge, covering about 14,763 square kilometers. It's home to the "Big 5" - elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, and leopards. Keep an eye out for Impalas too, they're beautiful! Serengeti is famous for its lions and leopards. The central part, called Seronera, is full of wildlife, especially near the Seronera River. Look out for lion prides and "Kopjes," big rocks where animals hide. We'll have a picnic lunch during the day. After a busy day, enjoy a hearty dinner and a good night's sleep.
You have two options today: a relaxed breakfast and game drives starting at 9 AM with lunch on the go, or an early start at 6 AM for a morning game drive. We'll explore the central part of Serengeti and head north. As we move north, the landscape changes to hills and broken terrain. You'll see zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, and more. We'll have a picnic lunch along the way. If time permits, we'll spend some time by the Mara River. Dinner and rest await you back at the accommodation.
Choose between a late breakfast and game drives starting at 9 AM with lunch to go, or an early 6 AM game drive. After breakfast, relax a bit before heading back to Central Serengeti. The journey takes about four hours, with some wildlife spotting along the way. As we return to Seronera, the terrain changes back to grasslands. Keep an eye out for lion prides. We'll have lunch on the drive. After an eventful day, enjoy dinner and a good night's sleep.
After breakfast, we'll have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Then, we'll head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is a massive collapsed volcanic crater surrounded by extinct volcanoes. It's home to about 30,000 animals. After a day of exploration, dinner and rest awaits.
We start early, around 6:30 AM, with a quick breakfast before descending into the crater floor for a 5-hour game drive. The crater is massive and filled with diverse wildlife, so keep your camera ready. We'll see elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, hippos, cheetahs, and more. After a picnic lunch by the Hippo pool, we'll ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving around 6 PM. It's time to say goodbye, leaving with unforgettable memories from your safari adventure.
