3 Days Budget Camping Safari - Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater

ARRIVAL  DAY

Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be met by your driver-guide and transferred to your accommodation. Take some time to relax and prepare for your safari adventure. A short briefing about the trip will be provided.

DAY 1: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, leave Arusha and drive through picturesque Maasai villages and wide-open savannahs to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, embark on a full-day game drive across the park’s expansive plains, following the Tarangire River, which serves as a vital water source for wildlife.

Tarangire is famous for its enormous elephant herds and is home to giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, and warthogs. Keep an eye out for predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas. Stop for a picnic lunch in the park before continuing the afternoon game drive. In the evening, head to your budget camping site for dinner and an overnight stay under the stars.

DAY 2 : LAKE MANYARA  TO NGORONGORO CRATER

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Discover the park’s rich habitats, where you can see the famous tree-climbing lions, large herds of elephants, and flocks of flamingos along the soda lake.

Following the game drive, continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon of wildlife viewing in one of the densest animal populations in Africa. Spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing to explore the crater floor.

DAY 3 : NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA

After breakfast, embark on a final morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, or take an optional short visit to a scenic viewpoint overlooking the crater. Afterward, begin your ascent out of the crater and drive back to Arusha.
