A safari to Tarangire National Park begins with an early morning drive from Arusha or Moshi, taking approximately 2–3 hours through scenic landscapes and local villages as the sun rises over northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on an exciting game drive, where you can spot a wide variety of wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and even lions roaming freely among the park’s iconic and ancient baobab trees.
As you explore deeper into the park, your guide will help you track animals and share fascinating insights about their behavior and the ecosystem. Around midday, you’ll enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch at a designated site inside the park, surrounded by nature and possibly with wildlife nearby.
After lunch, the adventure continues with an afternoon game drive, offering more opportunities for wildlife viewing and bird watching, as Tarangire is home to hundreds of bird species.
