May to July is the main planning period for migration movement through the Western Corridor and Grumeti area. Rainfall influences how quickly the herds move.

The west offers riverine woodland, open plains and a quieter atmosphere than the famous northern crossing season. It is a rewarding choice for travellers who want migration movement and a varied landscape.
Will I see a Grumeti River crossing?
Your guide uses deep knowledge of the Western Corridor, herd behaviour and river conditions to plan each drive. A crossing can happen quickly and is controlled by nature, while the wider region still offers excellent migration country and resident wildlife.
Can I book the route exactly as shown?
Yes. The itinerary remains the foundation of your safari. We only suggest a camp-location or route-flow adjustment when your actual dates make it clearly more sensible, and we explain the change and the price before you confirm.
Where does the safari begin?
The road safari begins in Arusha. If you are staying in Moshi, we can arrange transport to the agreed departure point.
